Apart from making sure that tenants pay their rent, their water and electricity bills, IHS PM is also responsible for maintaining and cleaning all Transcend properties, providing security at the Transcend estates as well as setting up legal and leasing agreements for tenants. The company pays IHS PM a monthly fee of 6% to 7% of their rental
income. Having a company such as IHS PM on board is a great asset for Transcend, as IHS has extensive knowledge of the housing market in Sub-Saharan Africa and has also built up good relations with local authorities. With their good track record of sourcing and stabilising residential properties, IHS is in a good position to advise the company on how and where to acquire new property.
