FBS Additional Trading Fees

Overnight fees, also known as swap fees or swaps, originate when traders hold positions open for longer after the trading day has concluded. These fees can either be charged or credited, depending on whether the trader holds a long or short position.

Traders can find more information on such fees by consulting the trading instrument they wish to trade on FBS’ website, as these fees will differ between instruments and depending on the trader’s position.

Muslim traders are offered the option of converting four of the five live trading accounts offered into that of an Islamic Account. There are no additional costs indicated on the Islamic Account, however, traders must confirm this with the broker.

Our Findings

FBS has two primary account types that determine fees: Standard and Pro. Standard accounts come with embedded fees via spreads usually at about 0.9 pips for Forex. Pro account holders benefit from narrower floating spreads averaging 0.6 pips for Forex although they also pay commissions valued at $3 per lot. Furthermore, different CFD fees exist within the spread range depending on asset classes like stocks or indices. A case in point is that individuals who engage in high volume trading are able to use part of their revenues to counterbalance some of the costs through the cashback scheme.
