Fees and Spreads
With Colmex Pro, traders can expect variable spreads that start from 0.3 pips.
The commission rate structure depends on the type of account that a trader has registered for with the broker. Rates for stock trading varies from $ 4 to $ 9.95 and for CFD trading from $ 1.50 to $ 9.95 per trade.
On the VIP account spreads start from 0.9 pips whereas the Standard account has a larger spread starting at 1.7 pips. The commission on this account type can go as high as $ 8 per round lot.
Additional Trading Fees
Additional costs that traders need to keep in mind especially when trading financial instruments such as forex, is overnight, or swap fees that will be charged when positions are held for longer than a trading day.
Colmex Pro charges an overnight daily margin interest of 0.026% on leveraged positions, which is the difference between the value of the positions and the equity.
These charges are calculated daily and apply to open positions kept overnight. When positions are held over the weekend, the fee triples as it is charged 3 times, namely Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Colmex Pro make provisions for their clients that follow the Muslim faith through the inclusion of an Islamic Account. This entails that positions that are open and held overnight do not get charged with swap fees.
Other costs that may be applicable include overnight daily margin interest of 0.026% and overnight daily penalties of 0.5% for unauthorised balances over 1:2 on client’s opened trade.
Colmex Pro does not offer spread betting and thus spread betting fees do not apply.
Broker Fees
There is not deposit fees charged by Colmex Pro and for withdrawals, the first transaction of the month under or equal to $ 500 is free. After that withdrawal fees of $ 40 will apply.
Traders also need to keep in mind that there might be additional charges from the financial institution that they use and is for their own account. In addition, they might also be subjected to currency conversion fees should they transfer fees in a currency which is different from their account base currency.
